Malta Freeport
Back in 1994, N.O.V.I.T.A Construction Consortium Company Ltd. was awarded the contract for the construction of the Malta Freeport Terminal II. Vassallo Builders contributed in its execution throughout its association with N.O.V.I.T.A.
The first phase of Terminal Two commenced operations in 1996, providing an additional quay length of 480 metres with a water depth of 15.5 metres. All the civil works were completed in 1998, ahead of schedule. Terminal two offers a total area of 210,000 square metres,4,040 container ground slots and is capable of handling three mother vessels, one feeder and a
ro-ro vessel simultaneously.
